North Jersey Region Middle School Concert Band Festival:
- When & Where:
- When: Next Thursday, April 16th. (During the school day)
- Where: Mrs. Siebenhuhner and I host this festival at RMS, so our students don't need to travel!

- What is the Concert Band Festival?
- Six North Jersey middle school bands (including RMS 7th & 8th Grade Bands) perform at this festival.
- Each band performs two pieces for all of the other bands. All bands are also adjudicated by two judges. They will give each band a rating (Bronze, Silver, and Gold), and they will also give each band a short on-stage clinic following their performance.

- Concert Attire:
- Students should come to school already dressed in their standard concert attire (dressy and classy black & white; gentlemen with tie). There will not be time to change before or afterward.

- Lunch:
- Students should bring a bagged lunch to school this day. It very likely that we will eat after the cafeteria has stopped serving food. Our bands will eat in the auditorium after the festival.

- Will students attend any classes on Thursday, April 16th?
- Students will report to their Pd. 1 class for attendance. They will then report to the band area directly afterwards.
- After eating lunch in the auditorium, students will be sent back to class right around beginning of 6th period (12:57PM) and attend their regular classes for the rest of the day.
- Students must see their Pd. 1-5 teachers to schedule make-up prior to missing classes on Thursday, April 16th. They are responsible for all missed material and work!
- Students will report to their Pd. 1 class for attendance. They will then report to the band area directly afterwards.

- Music in the Parks Trip to Dorney Park - Friday, May 29th - ALL DAY
- This trip is quickly approaching. The music faculty is working on finishing up the logistics in the near future to share with students and their families.
- Please be patient as we work out the complicated logistics for taking eight performing ensembles to this event!
- Chaperones:
- We will be selecting parent chaperones (from those who volunteered) in the near future. Chaperones will be announced to all, so parent/guardian will be left wondering if they are selected or not.
